Glenavon 2-1 Institute
JJB Sports Irish Cup - Saturday, 13th February, 2010
A TONY Grant strike three minutes from time secured a last eight place for Glenavon at Institute's expense.

The Lurgan Blues moved in front after 32 minutes with a Trevor Molloy header after Hugh Dickson flicked on a James Costello cross.

But 'Stute levelled four minutes from the break with a tremendous 30-yard drive into the top corner which gave Andrew Plummer no chance.

Molloy almost restored Glenavon's lead on 55 minutes when he cut inside two defender before curling a left-foot shot past Gavin Cullen only for it to rebound off the far upright.

At the other end McCready might have doubled his tally for the day with a 25-yard dipping effort which forced Plummer to scramble across his goal to keep the ball out.

However, on 87 minutes, Grant secured that quarter-final berth when he took the ball past Cullen to slot home from six yards.
