Bangor 1-1 Glenavon
JJB Sports Premiership - Saturday, 11th April, 2009
BANGOR came from a goal down to remain a point ahead of Glenavon after this draw at Clandeboye Park.

Glenavon dominated the opening half-an-hour or so but only came close to breaking the deadlock on 24 minutes when Hugh Dickson headed downwards from a Paul Carvill corner only for 'keeper Ryan Brown to superbly tip the ball over the bar.

And Brown saved the visitors again on 36 minutes when Tony Grant tested him with a well struck volley from the right hand side of the area.

Grant came close again early in the second half when Brown touched another effort onto the post while Eamon Murray's attempted follow-up came back off the other upright.

But the deadlock was broken on 67 minutes when Adrian Harper tucked the ball home at the far post after meeting a cross from the right.

However, Bangor levelled ten minutes later through Marty Verner who headed past Andrew Plummer from eight yards after Mark Magennis sent a ball across the face of goal.
