Glentoran 2-0 Lisburn Distillery
Carling Premiership - Tuesday, 9th February, 2010
GLENTORAN needed two second half goals to overcome the challenge of struggling Lisburn Distillery at The Oval.

It took the Glens until the 67th minute to break the resolve of the Whites defence when Paul Leeman turned home the loose ball from a Kyle Neill free-kick after a defender had sliced an attempted clearance.

Then, in stoppage time, Matthew Burrows put a more convincing gloss on proceedings when he took the ball beyond two defenders before slotting in past Philip Matthews.

The Glens could have been out of sight by that stage, though, but Kyle Neill finished weakly on 14 minutes before, nine minutes later, Gary Hamilton was denied by the Whites 'keeper.

With a quarter-of-an-hour remaining Andrew Waterworth might have scored against his old club although, within a minute, the visitors could well have been back on level terms when Aaron Nash was thwarted by a goalline Sean Ward clearance after a corner had caused problems in the Glens defence.
