Skonto Riga 0-1 Portadown
UEFA Europa League (first qualifying round) - Thursday, 8th July, 2010
PORTADOWN progressed to the second qualifying round of the Europa League following this historic victory over Latvians FC Skonto in Riga.

Richard Lecky's goal handed Ronnie McFall's side a 2-1 aggregate win and sets up back-to-back meetings with Azerbaijani side FK Qarabag over the next two weeks.

Lecky, who also scored in the first leg at Shamrock Park seven days ago, volleyed home what proved to be the winner on 29 minutes when he connected with a Kevin Braniff cross from the right after he had found his way past no fewer than three home defenders.

The Ports faced an onslaught as the game progressed but held out to record their first European victory in 34 years.
