Michael Ward opened the scoring for the Swifts after 14 minutes when his left-foot drive took a deflection off Darren Kelly before Johnny Topley levelled for Portadown on 31 minutes with a header from a Gary McCutcheon cross.

Dungannon regained the lead just a couple of minutes later, though, courtesy of a Timmy Adamson long range finish.

But within two minutes Portadown charged back again when Topley teed up substitute Jordan Baker to cap a remarkable five minute spell.

However, Adam McMinn grabbed a third for the Swifts three minutes from the break with a powerful header from a Marc McCann cross.

That was how it stayed until the 78th minute when McCutcheon beat Alvin Rouse with a shot on the turn followed by a Darren Kelly long range low effort on 84 minutes as Portadown took the lead for the first time.

Both sides had to be content with a share of the spoils, though, after Shane Coney darted the full length of the pitch with three minutes left to take the ball past 'keeper David Miskelly and into the unguarded visiting net.
